Prior to launching her very successful social media management company, ‘KBJ Online’,  in January 2009, Kate Buck spent 3 years with Landmark Education, a global leader in training and development, as the Community Manager for LandmarkConnect.

Kate was responsible for:

  • conceptualizing and launching their online community
  • growing their social network from rollout to over 30,000+ global members
  • maintaining (tech support, customer service)
  • enriching (track statistics, research trends, enhancements)
  • coordinating designers, developers, writers, consultants and executives

Kate is passionate about helping individuals and businesses get started marketing themselves online. A student herself, Kate is fascinated with the technology that connects people of like minds and interests around the world and strives to keep abreast of current thoughts and trends.  Her mission is to bridge the gap for those that are apprehensive or overwhelmed by all the “hype”. Her approach makes social marketing manageable and effective for RestaurantWorx™ clients.

Since launching KBJ Online and partnering with RestaurantWorx™ , Kate has consulted with dozens of individuals and businesses around the country. Most days, you will find Kate tweeting and creating hashtags (one of her most favorite things #DUH). She frequently live tweets/blogs events she attends (What? You don’t remember the Adventures of #KOZ from SXSW 2009?), as well as lead strategic social marketing campaigns for the independent films ‘Let Him Be’ and ‘EXIT’,’ which was runner up this year for Best Film in Austin’s 48 hour Film Project.

Kate lives in Austin, Texas (the Social Media Capitol of the World) with her husband, Chef Morris Buck, and her 2 step-kids. She enjoys watching sports, dancing (really, like ballet) and spending time out on the lake.
